Here’s what Henry & Anna said about their trip…
After 2 wonderful weeks in South Australia we are back London.
What a trip it has been!
I must admit that before the trip my knowledge of Adelaide was poor at best, and of the surrounding area, terrible. But I’ve learnt a lot and now shall be evangelising about the wonders of South Australia from this day forth! Not to everyone, however. I won't bother talking to those longing for the ‘backpacking trail’, where everything is geared around travellers looking to party. Instead, I will speak to those who are looking for somewhere different; somewhere that challenges, surprises and enthralls them. South Australia does just that.

My perception of organised tours was changed by this trip. I always avoided their ‘organized fun’ and restrictive schedules. However, the tours we experienced in South Australia were well paced, thoughtful and extremely varied. I never felt forced to do anything and we were, to an extent, free to shape the itinerary based on our own interests. Our three guides could not have been more different but their knowledge, passion and interest in the area remained constant.

There were many highlights – the Eyre Peninsula was very special: Baird Bay, learning to surf on the perfect beach and Coodile Farm in particular. Swimming with tuna was verging on the spiritual. We can't recommend the Nullabor, Eyre Peninsula tour enough! The Kangaroo Island tour was amazing and we wished we'd been there for much longer. Best Beach of the Holiday Award goes to Stokes Bay. The wildlife of South Australia is unbeatable too. To be in touching distance of sea lions (underwater!), dolphins, a great white shark, koalas, kangaroos, possums, wombats, dingos and all sorts of fish, in two weeks, is incredible.
South Australia is really special and we both felt privileged to have found an amazing place that few of our friends know about. Everybody goes to the East Coast. Everybody jumps off the same bungee in Cairns. But we've found in South Australia a little secret, twice the size of France, and filled with a lifetime’s worth of activities.

We will be returning ...
Huge thanks to STA Travel for organizing this trip and to Andrew the cameraman for creating such entertaining videos. Thanks also to everyone that voted for us – and to my bosses for letting me go on such short notice!
